tokujin yoshioka’s bottle design for sante beauteye sparkles

tokujin yoshioka has conceived the bottle design for ‘sante beautéye’, drops released by japan’s santen phramaceutical co., ltd. which focus on renewing the eyes, and trouble caused to one’s vision as a result of stress and age-related factors. the formal qualities of the vessel which yoshioka has drafted has been realized to ‘sparkle’, a physical metaphor for the ‘twinkle in one’s eyes’. the faceted cap is made from transparent, solid resin which gives it a luxurious feeling, much like that of a perfume bottle that has been created from crystal glass, offering an elegance that is often not seen in packaging relating to medical products.
