simple volumes and pale colors are elements david chipperfield architects have incorporated in their ‘tonale’ homeware series for alessi. the ‘tonale’ tableware series was inspired by the works of italian painter giorgio morandi and consists of a carafe, a tray, plates, bowls, beakers and cups. it was displayed at macef milan fair 2009.
