during new york design week 09, daisuke hiraiwa exhibited new lamps at the british section inside the ICFF show floor.

this work is composed of around 300 disposable plastic spoons where daisuke has drilled holes in by hand.

image © designboomdaisuke used a soldering iron to burn the tiny holes into the spoons.

daisuke has a degree in architecture and interior/spatial design. the tokyo born, UK chelsea college of art and design graduate set up his own brand, g.+ based in london.
