‘t-style in thailand‘ is a project by the office of product value promotion and the department of export promotion led by japanese designer toshiyuki kita.
the aim is to encourage and support the expansion of thai design through export and brand development that will be recognized
in the international marketplace. this year’s theme, ‘ecological & elegant’, features a new perspective of interior and product design
created with the various eco-friendly materials thailand has to offer.

the furniture development and promotion project was first organized in 2010, when kita was invited to select thai furniture
and home decorative items to be displayed at the TIFF 2010 exhibit. those items were then further developed before being introduced
to the japanese market at the living & design fair. by next year, the initiative emphasized the importance of environmental awareness
in furniture and home decor.

this year marks the third ‘t-style’ event at the thailand international furniture fair 2012. it aims to foster a new generation
of promising thai furniture designers and operators and introduce them to the marketplace.

TIFF thailand international furniture fair 2012
is a green-oriented furniture fair that assembles the best of thailand’s designers in a central meeting point. at this annual gathering visitors experience
the diversity and creativity of thai design in addition to witnessing the newest collections and taking advantage of the opportunity to readily network
with manufacturers, exporters and other influential players in the thai furniture industry.
