outside this year’s gwangju design biennale‘s main building, motoelastico(marco bruno + simone carena) and parang have created an installation of totem kiosks. the forms of the kiosks are based off symbols drawn from korean culture: temples, pagodas etc. the interior structures are made from metal which are covered with an elastic mesh material, revealing each of the totem designs. the colorful structures house a design shop, food vendors, information and ticket booths.
