designing over an already existing concept — which has been used, for example, in the ‘mom’ chair by carlo contin — zhihao guo has created an armchair case made of transparent vinyl, which everyone can stuff to their liking. the designer’s piece contains clothes and is called ‘I’ll try anything once, maybe twice’, while — as guo explains — the title can vary depending on what you put inside.

the piece can be a chair, storage, and sculpture at once

‘nobody cares about what’s inside a stuffed chair or toy,’ says guo. ‘neither would I if I was not the one who makes it’. with this object, the designer attempts to highlight the importance of what’s really inside and makes up the essential part.
