sharon sides acid etches the pattern of tree ring formations into her designs, using the appearance of wood and its grainy texture as an aesthetic for the metal furniture she creates. the first iterations of the ‘stumps collection’ which designboom covered here, consisted only of chairs, but now she has expanded it further by incorporating stools and tables. the finished pieces express the history and beauty of nature, making each one individual from the next.
