‘this adds a convenient new function with just a tiny alteration, rather than the addition of new parts’, says designer yuma kano of her inventive solution. the ‘U mirror’ creates an interesting illusion by warping the reflection of the glass into a functional form, leaving the back wall exposed and confusing relations of space and shape. ‘two items that are inseparable in our lives are now fused into a single object.’
