  • why is this on designboom?

    question says:
  • this is on designboom because one of the several editors wanted it here…

    why are YOU on designboom?

i’m at d.b. ’cause i can’t find anything productive to do with my time, honestly.

    croftDESIGN says:
  • Poor cats ! Poor cat’s owners! This means a lot about the world today. While lots of human beings are hungry, some of them may spend money torturing their cats!

    celeste raposo says:
  • I am on db to meet you croftDESIGN

    answer says:
  • This is . . . Derellllllique!

    mstndvn says:
  • Creativity is one of the most important keys to success in any design business and this platform is one of the most important digital repositories of creative work. Sometimes I see an abundance of negativity or false awareness in the comments. What is so bad about this? I agree, the pieces do not look really good on cats and I would not buy a dress because of this calendar, but as promo material for a company it could work.

    A. Ayles says:
  • I hope the cats earn a full meat package after the humiliation, hehe

    AutoFill Options says:
  • Credit for making this look sophisticated, that’s very hard to do!

    super trooper says:
  • My cat is in this calendar. The money made from this photo shoot goes to shelters in NYC. Why wouldn’t I let my cat help his friends?

Not in it for the $ says:
  • Well, but for the fact that cats tend not to have friends–they’re not slobbery emotion puddles like dogs, after all–good for you to help strays. And for those who think the cats were in some way humiliated, look at the photos. If you can get a cat to sit still and wear an outfit for a photo, it’s having a nice time–even if it is surrounded by idiots.

    Tom P says:
  • Sorry to disagree – of course cats don’t live in packs (good for them), but I’ve found in them wonderful and loyal friends. And I’m glad they’ve helped cats in need even not knowing about it. And the photos are great, the clothes too creative. Thumbs up for all the idea!

    Vania says:
  • I’m not a huge cat fanatic, but I can see by the images that cats are elegant creatures. Kudos to UB for making something whimsical with their clothing to promote their company. The photos of the cats are beautiful and the design of the calendar is great. That’s why it’s on db. It’s about time someone had fun with design. I wish I had thought of a blind embossed calendar.

    -mm says:
  • I second that mm! I actually think the cats look amazing in clothes, they almost look naked without them!

    Abc says:
  • I saw this at the Creatures of Comfort store in NY and bought it for my mom!

    Teagan says:
  • Tom P(ouce?) ‘s got it right. It is a little known, but true fact that there are networks of nightly dress-up, and even cross- dressing clubs for cats. Obviously they want to keep this a secret. Cats are notoriously natty dressers and enjoy following the latest trends. I could go on, but here comes Tiddles… zoof, I’m outta here before he catches me spilling the b….

    peen says:
  • BEAUTIFUL! i love it!
