german designer verena hennig has launched her first furniture line called ‘roll collection’. the seating series is meant to provide a playful, innovative and engaging experience to the user, and consists of a chair, a stool and a bench, available in red, white, beige and black. to create the collection, the designer referenced an installation she did last year at the new museum in nuremberg, where visitors interacted with a 25-meter long bench made out of an air mattress.

the ‘roll collection’ is more than a conventional furniture collection — it claims to be a present and timeless design. made out of powder-coated aluminum, the seating set consists of rotatable sticks that can massage the person who’s sitting on them while sliding from left to right. the material selection allows the ‘roll collection’ to be used both inside and outside.
