virgil abloh and louis vuitton partnered with instagram to reveal footage of the collection on the social media company’s new IGTV app, which launched yesterday offering user and brand accounts the option to upload videos of up to 60 minutes long. but it seems abloh wasn’t done there. on his own instagram account he revealed an exclusive look at a high-top sneaker and LV’s first. with a black, grey, white, and red color scheme, the shoe takes obvious cues from the air jordan 3.

abloh then went onto post an image of an updated pair of louis vuitton’s millionaire sunglasses which made their first debut in 2004 as a collaboration between pharrell, nigo and marc jacobs. the glasses were then re-released in 2007 in new colourways, and were popular among stars such as rihanna, JAY-Z and kanye west. the new editions have an updated shape but the same LV branding as the originals.

finally, a possible collaboration with artist takashi murakami seems like it may have been leaked by louis vuitton’s lead footwear designer, mathias patillon. in an instagram video posted by patillon, murakami is shown drawing his DOB PANDA character on a LV luggage during a visit to the label’s paris headquarters with a similarly defaced duffle bag in the background.
