NIKE football and off-white, the italian streetwear and luxury fashion brand founded by virgil abloh, celebrate the world cup with an official release of their capsule collection. the collection which comprises various apparel will also include two colorways of a brand-new hybrid silhouette: the NIKE’s zoom fly mercurial flyknit sneakers.

the sneaker’s upper is constructed of a flyknit that differs from the normally translucent performance material used on the zoom fly and, as reported by solecollector, will be available in two colourways: total orange and black. meanwhile, large dots on both the lateral and medial side of the shoe indicate the perfect place to kick a football.

this is not the first time abloh has worked with NIKE. the designer released a collaborative pair of the nike zoom flys as part of his ‘the ten’ collection last year. the sneaker series, which involved deconstructing and reimagining ten NIKE footwear classics has been detailed in a recent release of ‘TEXTBOOK’, a chronicle outlining abloh’s design process.

the off-white x NIKE football collection is set to drop on june 14th, the same day the FIFA world cup starts in russia, with the nike zoom fly mercurial flyknits setting you back $200. according to @py_rates, the collection will range from $30 for a pair of socks and $500 USD for the men’s jacket.
