the ‘electree mini’ conceived by french designer vivien muller is based on the form of a japanese bonsai tree and fractal patterns found in nature. imitating a potted plant, the structure provides solar-power to environments typically devoid of renewable energy. the device has flexible leaves made from photovoltaic panels that can be orientated to optimize its exposure. rechargeable batteries are used to help store power, and clip-in modules are also integrated, turning it into a color changing light and USB charging station.
