on the occasion of valencia design week 2011, spanish furniture manufacturer VONDOM presented an outdoor exhibition of their furniture and lighting products housed within the historic torres de serranos. on show were collections of ramon esteve, ludovica + roberto palomba, stefano giovannoni, karim rashid, jm ferrero, a-cero, javier mariscal, teresa sapey, harry & camila and archirivolto design. this exhibition marked the first time in which the towers could be used for an exposition of this kind. the juxtaposition of contemporary furniture of clean lines and illuminated forms against the historic space of the iconic towers, created a social and inviting atmosphere to all guests and visitors.

 

this was the first time in the history of the structure that it could and was used for an event of this nature and the overall scenography and art direction was performed by spanish architect and designer ramon esteve. vondom at valencia design week 2011 - 2 ‘vases’ collection image © designboom
