vondom’s gum collection softens the rigidity of aluminum into fluid lines
a conversation between soft and firm scales across vondom’s gum collection, shaping characteristic silhouettes through continuous tubular lines.
CLEAN GEOMETRY INTERSECTED WITH OPEN-AIR LAYOUTS
Vondom softens the typical rigidity of aluminum with the Gum outdoor furniture collection, shaping a characteristic silhouette through continuous tubular lines that curve, wrap, and support. Crafted with the fluidity of a hand-drawn gesture, the series, designed by the architect Ramón Esteve, sparks an open conversation between future-focused production, environment, and form. Developed for hotel terraces, restaurant dining rooms, and private residences, the warm hues of its upholstery and its geometric purity transform the open-air layout into an expressive, cohesive setting.

VONDOM COLLABORATES WITH RAMÓN ESTEVE FOR GUM COLLECTION
The collection represents the collaboration between the Spanish design house and architect Ramón Esteve, whose practice consistently pursues spatial harmony and structural permanence. Focusing on spatial integration and longevity, the GUM series’ signature tubular lines overcome structure to delineate a distinct character that acts like a continuous stroke running through every piece. To realize this vision, Vondom utilizes 100% circular aluminum, leveraging the material’s low density, high impact resistance, and natural immunity to corrosion. Backed by this material resilience, the collection acts as a natural extension of indoor spaces to the outdoors.

A dialogue BETWEEN SOFT AND FIRM SCALES ACROSS THE COLLECTION
Combining heavy-duty aluminum frames with climate-resilient polyurethane upholstery, the Gum collection prioritizes a welcoming tactile experience. Through a conversation between soft and firm it scales across a comprehensive range of furniture, including a sofa, lounge chair, dining chair, and coordinating coffee and dining tables. The series features a calculated color palette realized in two warm, neutral tones: a luminous, open ecru and a deep, restrained smoke, offering two distinct ways of underlining its fluid curves. While the seating items focus on the intersection of plush, soft upholstery and metal, the tables feature clean geometry that anchors outdoor layouts with deliberate stillness.
Manufactured in Spain through responsible production, the series is engineered specifically for residential projects and high-traffic contract environments, including hotel terraces and restaurant dining rooms. With the Gum collection, Vondom delivers a versatile system that responds to the changing demands of contemporary outdoor living, shaping a subtle dialogue between structure and comfort.
