vondom revolution furniture to be made from recycled ocean plastic

vondom has started a revolution. creating objects of highly sculptural forms inspired and mirroring the pure beauty of nature, they are more than just a designer furniture brand; they create and enhance outdoor experiences. they see themselves as equally responsible for preserving the environment, from our seas to our coastlines, and ensuring a better, more sustainable future. vondom revolution reflects this responsibility and guides their design philosophy as their collections are to be made using sustainable, recycled and recyclable materials from now on.

vondom revolution aims for the brand to continue creating outdoor experiences that enrich your life, but to do so while also contributing to a better society. through collaborations with master designers, such as stefano giovannoni and fabio novembre, their collections distinguish unique, exclusive and timeless furniture pieces. however, these products will be crafted from recycled fishing nets, waste plastics and plastic bottles from our seas and coastline, through partnerships with fishermen, companies and organizations, their expertize ensure the pieces maintain their renowned standards of quality, exclusivity and design.

unique in form as well as materials, their new sustainable initiative has already enriched two of vondom’s famed furniture collections. ibiza designed by eugeni quitllet encompasses a sophisticated table, chair and armchairs, and a relaxing lounger. their light, sculptural lines mirror the wave-swept, organic shapes of seashells as if taken straight from the ocean. instead, the pieces have been manufactured from plastics recovered and recycled from around the balearic islands.

also created by eugeni quitllet, the ‘love’ chair reflects the namesake feeling that overcomes our body and soul yet is invisible to the human eye. its simple, curved shape fits the user in a natural way. similar to ‘ibiza’, the design is manufactured from transformed ocean plastics collected from the balearic islands. the uniqueness of its material guides its finish color, such as the ‘manta’ tone taken from recycled fishing nets.

with their ‘pedrera’, ‘brooklyn’ and ‘africa’ collections soon to be remastered using recycling, vondom will offer a diverse range of dramatically shaped yet body- and environmentally-friendly furniture collections. like ‘ibiza’ and ‘love’, their pieces build upon the brand’s mission to create beloved outdoor experiences whilst preserving the natural environment for future generations. from now on, sustainability is a part of everything they do thanks to vondom revolution.
