over three million people in the unites states today depend on a wheelchair for day-to-day tasks and mobility. only those affected by disability can truly explain what this entails, not just physically but emotionally. it is not sufficient to say that wheelchair users require special accommodations both at home and at work. often, they require their clothing custom designed and tailored to their needs, and that is the mission statement of online clothing brand rock the wheel.

rock the wheel debuts with the six essential pieces collection

rock the wheel clothing solves the problems of easy access, unreachable pockets, excess fabric, too short t-shirts, and slouchy pants that can cause discomfort and even pain to someone confined to a wheelchair. the brand has created the six essential pieces collection designed to mix-and-match a dressy and casual wardrobe that is both modern and functional. each garment is made-to-measure to ensure proper fit and comfort.

rock the wheel was founded by robert rodriguez who several years ago was involved in an automobile accident that left him with paralysis. after dealing with the physical and emotional adjustment of being a wheelchair user and frustrated with not being able to find clothing to fit his needs, he saw an opportunity to help himself and others in the same situation. rodriguez partnered with longtime friend and fashion designer, francisco platt. together, the two created six pieces engineered to function either in a professional or casual setting.
