‘lacucina alessi’ by wiel arets

dutch architect wiel arets has collaborated with italian company alessi and pordenone-based kitchen manufacturer valcucine to create ‘lacucina alessi’. made entirely from glacier white Corian®, the freestanding furniture has a unified appearance as the flush lower cabinets merge into the wrapped rounded countertop and integrated sink, all of which is held together by a hidden joint system. to save space, the upper storage area has sliding doors with an inset pull.

the unit is also equipped with a tap, also designed by arets and produced by italian company oras. unlike the typical faucets, the design has a 48 mm spout, making it distinctive and functional.
