observation and research  brought swiss designer sebastian marbacher to the design of the communal plywood bench. conceived as a celebration of sitting together in a public space, the stair-like stepped furniture piece encourages social interaction by providing diverse ways of sitting. the arrangement leaves room for interpretation, allowing visitors and users to do as they wish in the given space.
