world design rankings 2022 revealed!
china remains at the top of the world design rankings in 2022, but where did your country finish in the 114-country-strong table?
DESIGNBOOM announces WORLD DESIGN RANKINGS 2022
As one year ends and another beings, we announce the World Design Rankings (WDR) for 2022 alongside the A’ Design Award and Competition. The rankings list participating countries in order of the number of their designers that have acclaimed an A’ Design Award.
In a similar pattern to 2020 and 2021, china tops the 114-country-strong table again with the highest number of awards won. The nine highest ranking countries remain in the same sequence in 2022, but Portugal replace Australia in tenth position.
Each entry from around the globe is carefully, methodically and fairly evaluated by a renowned jury panel that considers talent, creativity and originality, as the key criteria. The awards are ranked as platinum, gold, silver, bronze and iron, and are distributed in over 100 different categories and sub-groupings, such as architecture, building and structure design; lighting products and projects design; and vehicle, mobility and transportation design.
Represent your country in the World Design Rankings by registering and submitting your project to the 2023 A’ Design Award and Competition!
