world design rankings for 2023 revealed

Once again, the global design sphere comes into view with the 2023 World Design Rankings (WDR) – an exhibition of thousands of  A’ Design Award’s winners who have represented their nation’s with outstanding projects. To celebrate this success, designboom has curated a selection of projects from this cohort. Analyzing the number of awardees from 2022-2023, the WDR unveils a country-by-country analysis of the current state-of-the-art in the region. The awards span over a hundred categories, recognizing a diverse range of talent across 114 participating countries. These organized insights, revealing strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities, serve as valuable cues for policymakers in determining potential areas for government outreach. In addition to country-based rankings, A’ design awards also offers other valuable perspectives with its ‘Design Classification’ platform which further ranks winners based in each creative category. For those specifically seeking top talents, the ‘Designer Rankings’ website provides individual and overall rankings based on the number of design awards won globally, in more than hundred creative disciplines.

2023’s edition of the rankings sees China take first place among the countries represented.
