belgian designer xavier lust exhibits ‘gamete.mgx lamp’ as part of la centrale electrique‘s ‘fighting the box’ show at this year’s design september brussels. the collection of lamps available in table, floor, ceiling and wall formats is produced by materialise, a manufacturer specializing in 3D technology. ‘gamete.mgx’ is influenced by the constructive language of plant seeds transported by the wind. lighting is diffused and protected by a perforated envelope that houses the bulb.
