when imagining a coat hanger — long triangle, soft fillets, painful looking hook — this one, familiar form typically comes to mind. yes, if coat hangers were typefaces, we’ve been dealing with times new roman variations for quite some time. nothing’s wrong with times, but for some designers and storytellers, every detail needs to be measured. some prefer functionality. others prefer functionality to be coated with a generous helping of whimsy. XYZ integrated architecture designed ‘hanger,’ a collection of couturier coat hangers, for designers who value the principles and elements of every design stage.
