yuki sawaya kimonos visual identity by 6D

 

 

6D have designed a new visual identity for the kimono brand, yuki sawaya which is located in the ibaraki prefecture, japan.

 

the identity references the pongee silk thread used to make the traditional kimonos fused with a traditional ‘stamp like’ japanese character. the line of the thread being used at varying lengths depending on the application. seen here are the store’s stationery, packaging and signage.
