Built99 is a curated architecture registry and global listing moment—built to document practices that endure. The launch introduces the Built99 framework: a rigorous editorial documentation format where every studio is represented through idea, method, ethic, and built proof. The evening convenes the Founding cohort alongside editors, jurors, and cultural partners to set the benchmark for what qualifies as architecture worth archiving.
Built 99 was created to address a long-standing absence—the limited presence of India and the Global South within global architectural conversation. Built 99 exists to change that. It brings regional architectural intelligence into active dialogue with international design culture.
99 practitioners will be selected by the editors of Designboom and ArchDaily. The Built99 Coffee Table Book, featuring the selected 99 practitioners, will be launched in November 2026, coinciding with the Built99 flagship event. Selected practitioners will also receive visibility through Forbes India, Designboom, and ArchDaily, alongside a permanent Built99 digital dossier and year-round editorial programming.
Nominations run 2 Feb – 28 Mar 2026, extended to 28 Apr 2026, with announcements for the 99 selected participants on 7 Nov 2026.
