Carsten Höller: Two
Carsten Höller splits UCCA’s Great Hall into two parallel exhibitions, assigning visitors one of two entrances before sending them through matching environments in color or black and white. New carousels, moving beds, mirrored doors, light installations, and interactive games turn the museum into what the artist calls a “Laboratory of Doubt,” where familiar systems of time, movement, and choice begin to slip. Developed partly in response to the Beijing space, Two treats participation as both play and experiment, placing each visitor inside the work’s shifting logic.
