The 90s: Art and Fashion

The 90s: Art and Fashion

Tate Britain returns to a decade when British art and fashion moved through closely connected creative circles. Curated by Edward Enninful, The 90s: Art and Fashion brings artworks into conversation with photographs and clothing, following the exchanges that shaped the period’s public image.

Works by Sarah Lucas and Damien Hirst appear alongside photography by Juergen Teller and David Sims, with fashion by Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. The exhibition moves between the DIY sensibility of magazines such as i-D and Dazed and the growing visibility of British contemporary art, recalling a period when experimental work reached an expanding audience.
