while intended to be a fun occasion, barbeques can sometimes prove to be a bit stressful for all concerned – who’s the best cook, when is the meat ready, etc. for sure it would be tough to ask a designer to tackle these problems. another issue with BBQs though is the amount of volatile gunk emitted from them – here’s where the designers come in. the san francisco- based design-duo mike and maaike (mike simonian and maaike evers) recently came up with’eco-friendly’ instant charcoal packaging for lazzari.

‘the ‘baja BBQ firepack‘ is charcoal packaging that lights instantly and burns away in the grille, making the
barbeque experience simple, clean and chemical free.  made from 100% recycled biodegradable paper pulp,
