michelin is resurrecting its famous brand icon ‘bibendum’. the companies latest advertising campaign sees the michelin man slimmed down and a little taller than before.

‘we’ve refreshed him because he’s a key asset for us. we’ve slimmed him down because it shows the evolution of people and is a way of keeping up with changes in society. he demonstrates the evolution of society but also the evolution of the brand and the world we live in.’ says thierry rudloff, michelin’s head of marketing.

the man made of tyres was first used in 1888 and in 2000 was named advertising icon of the century by the financial times. read more
