a designboom reader recently emailed us with this interesting piece of spanish design news:

‘I write to you concerning this news, as I´m a graphic designer working in madrid and this is a question being raised right now.

there was a competition for the new logo for the spanish government, won by a spanish designer, prized with 12 000 euros and judged by known spanish figures.

the design community in spain is really concerned with the resamblance to the german logo though!!

regards patricia’

the winning design, by juan rapullés, was chosen from 320 entries.
