designer's own words:

This is a tent type small cart which use by urban homeless people. The original design idea was from China's red lantern which symbolizes the reunion and the family in China. It is flexible and economical because it is made of light, high-quality, 100% recyclable plastic and waterproof cloth. When it is a cart, it can be conveniently used by the urban homeless to store their possessions and collect goods. It becomes a shelter when the cart is opened. When used by one person, It can be located in any corner. The occupant can sit against the wall or lie down in rolled up position. Two people or four people use can have bigger space by joining together 2 or 4 individual units. This device would allow homeless people spontaneously live in groups in several regular places. Living in groups can help the urban homeless to communicate easily. The big area “living in groups” can bring homelessness to society’s attention. And also help persuade the government promptly to deal with the problem of homelessness.
