designer's own words:

The bed is composed of several parts, three of them major, so the two, in the back, symmetrical to each other, have the ability to remove from one another, slipped on the third part. These two parts are formed remove the space between them in half is occupied by a miniature table that is fixed by the third, thus formed a convenient party scrids various discussions and more persons who may participate and what is more mainly because they can see each other, sitting face to face
