A Curious Window

A Curious Window by KABBOTT from uk

designer's own words:

I began this project in a very linear fashion. Starting with what I found curious. And that was the concept of time, and how us as a modern society manage our time.
Everyday we prioritize our work and a hectic lifestyle over essential things such as a healthy lifestyle and time for ourselves. This made me realize that most people, who seem to have lost their creativity feel as if they do not have time to be curious. Eloquently pushing me towards a direction inspired by space, as there is complex relation of one can not exist without the other.
At this point in the project I had decided on three goals that I wanted my project to understand: Personal time, Perspective and of course Curiosity.

PERSONAL TIME
I wanted the product to encourage time for yourself, by looking into space where there is no life (yet...), no air and no sounds. Complete seclusion.
PERSPECTIVE
This was achieved quite easily as space is so vast. When space is compared to minor a problem such as being late for an evening dinner (e.g.) there simply is no comparison of scale.
CURIOSITY
As space is so unknown, it has infinite potential. I tried to re awake the forgotten optimism in people, because as far fetched as it seems; they could make a great discovery. It is this potential which would make people very curious.
