designer's own words:

The Akse project takes its inspiration from the image of the axe planted on the wood log as a symbol of human domination over natural elements.

The shelves are drawn according to a dialogue between a transformed material (metal-aluminum) and a natural material (raw wood) trought simple processes as cutting and folding.
