Anthos by MariannaD from greece

designer's own words:

The basic idea of 'Anthos" comes for an old wired toy that could change shapes. When it is flat it has the shape of a flower and it can take the shape of cylinder or hourglass. It can be made of different materials and dimensions according to the consumer's needs. It can be a small kids chair or a large table that can fold and be hanged on the wall to decorate it. It is a folding furniture that people don't have to hide away when it is not in use but they can actually display it and give a nice decorative element to a wall indoors or outdoors. another fact about "Anthos" is that the consumer can use his imagination to find many ways to use it. He can combine two or more of them together to make a coat hanger or a tunnel for the kids to play. He can make a small, wired trash can, a laundry basket or an umbrella holder. The hinge that brings together the metal rods can be removes creating two of the flowers that when they fold they become half spheres that can be turned into wall hanging baskets or (if they are big enough) an inglu tent for the kids. 'Anthos" is a product that can be transformed any time it's owner needs it to.
