designer's own words:

Initially inspired by the playful nature of a paper cup telephone and the curiosity it generates, led onto thinking about how we learn and develop. We learn through curiosity, which is often centered around learning from others. Different backgrounds and opinions are something to be celebrated. The idea of learning centralises its focus upon sharing knowledge.

How does it work? First the user records a question or an observation into the pod, the water meter will then rise up to show that the information has been stored. As more people become more curious about asking questions the water meter on the different pods rise to show how full of curiosity they are. Others can listen to what has been recorded and add their own opinion to what they have heard and so the cycle goes on until the reset button is pressed which drains the water from the pod and a new conversation can be started.

How does it work: Inner motor which is linked to the record button which pumps small amounts of water to gradually fill up with a limit of 20 clicks until reset button is which then activates another draining motor which comes through the silicon cable. Silicon tubing which encases inner water tubes up to the motors which will be place in a false ceiling. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) casing holding the water layer. It is durable, able to hold water efficiently. Aluminum sheet metal inner casing to create a nice shine under the water layer.
