The BioCycler is a “plug-and-play” white good that is installed on an outgoing domestic sewer pipe, thus intercepting organic waste, which it then processes to produce heat, electricity, fertilizer, and clean water. The energetic yield is about 1 kWh of electricity and 1 MJ of heat per person per day. The fertilizer is a granulated mineral sludge, potent with phosphates, nitrogen, and potassium. The clean water is disinfected and can be outlet into surface water or reused in irrigation. The BioCycler enables resource recovery by providing a clean, low-maintenance, and efficient machine.
