designer's own words:

"linking" plastic bottle is designed with a screw groove in its bottom,and the lip of bottle is fit for the screw groove,therefore another bottle could link it by screwing them.
Since bottles are linking one by one,it is quite convenient to collect and recycle the bottles.In addition to this,a string of bottles could be reused as the clothesline.
