designer's own words:
the handle "chameleon" is a contemporary door handle which can change the main part: the handle.this allows to change or add different handles on your doors in colors, surfaces or materials.
the shape plays with classic and modern aspects and details. finally both is merged in a contemporary and iconic shape.
the main parts are made with aluminum die casting which allows very fine and exact details and a high stability. further the parts can be anodized e.g. in black. (like on the pictures)
the changeable handle can be made from aluminum or steel. various surface treatments in color and haptic can expand the range.
so the part that has to be modified is very simple in contraction and of course in costs…
all standard parts of a door handle can be used. the changeable handle is clamped in a holding fixture and fixed by a set screws. the holding fixture is fixed with a ring which is screwed into the door. lying in this ring the holding fixture is guiding the rotating parts of the door handle.
all in all a simple construction and a door handle with endless possibilities.
