Circulight-vitalize your light

Circulight is street furniture which acts also as a lighting and a public shelter where people can hide themselves from raindrops and the sunlight. From a unique and interesting experience of Circulight, people are able to naturally aware and learn the circulation of our nature’s ecological system

Circulight consists of a main body and detachable lighting units. The roof of the main body is equipped with a solar panel which collects solar energy. The collected energy is used to charge the lighting units which are plugged in the main body. People can use the fully charged unit by unplugging it and return it after the use. The fully charged lighting units are bright and inflated to a maximum size. As the energy is consumed by the lights, the unit gradually loses illumination and inflation. This visual and tactile change gives people a strong feedback of the consumption of energy and it naturally guides people to revitalize the unit by plugging it back to the main body. The whole system of taking the light and putting it back to recharge resembles circulate life cycle of our nature.

Circulight, using an alternative energy source and the being portable, is both functional and useful. However, the most significant feature of this device is the ability to physically and easily remind the people that we always have to return everything back to the nature and realize that we have to protect our valuable nature and the ecology.
