crash velvet

crash velvet by pedro regadas from portugal

designer's own words:

The “crash velvet” it’s a hinged door with a new and funny look; seams someone crosses the door to paradise without open it…like the cartoons!
The door is made in natural beech wood and velvet. The beech wood and the blue velvet, create a soft combination. The beech wood is visible in the rails and door stiles. The wood central panels are covered with blue velvet. A transluced white glass is between the panels, closing the silhouette hole. The external door frame (head and jamb) are made in beech wood. The decorative casing is covered with blue velvet.
This hinged door design can be adapted without many changes to other doors stiles like bi-fold doors or sliding doors.
The door essence is the funny design (panel crash silhouette) and the blue velvet combination with beech wood. The combination with a light natural beech wood with the soft blue velvet gives a nice visual and nice touch feeling to the user. The feeling to paradise.
