Dance of Shadows

Dance of Shadows by HirokiNakagawa from japan

designer's own words:

We are proposing a dance of shadows. The project tells us a story of a ninjutsu by which the user creates the illusion of multiplicity to disorient the targets and make them feel but not see a deadly presence. The technique requires discretion, it is silent and mysterious, soft and strong, always changing, unpredictable and scarily effective. We are inviting the visitors to take a walk in the forest to see their shadows come to life. Going from bright to matte, the volumes of light constantly reshape the landscape of dark figures. The many different light sources multiply the number of shadows the visitors cast. Through the shadows and covered by those huge balloons, one may feel the presence of others but not see them. The pulsating lights frequently rearrange the casted shadows - one moment to another you might come face to face with a ninja or its shadow. Stay alert. Be aware. You might want to keep an eye on the dancing shadows.
