designer's own words:
as well as being a functional object, the diamond concept expresses the preciousness of the room by considering the handle as an important piece of decoration of the room. simple construction of surfaces creates light and shadow, like a piece of jewel on the door.
the simple shape can be achieved by casting or forging standard manufacturing process. to fully take advantage of the jewel effect, the material should be highly reflective surface finish such as chrome.
