Dining Kitchen Consists of Island Cooking Units by kimihiko okada from japan

designer's own words:

This is a proposal of a dining kitchen and the utensils designed to achieve the character of this dining kitchen.
The dining kitchen consists of separate units of sink, cook top, shelf, table and refrigerator. Units are distributed like islands and this formation of units provides users, free circulation. The dining room will give best performance when in use of several people for example, a couple or a family cooking together or when inviting people over to a home party, or multiple families living together. Individual units give each person a free working space without bumping into one another. The number of units can be adjusted accordingly to the changes in composition of a family. All units except for the sink, can be moved during occasional parties or simply to give changes in everyday life.
All units are designed in same height and the table top is stainless steel hairline finish. Underneath the table is a drawer, and underneath the cook top unit and sink unit are shelves. With the least attachment on walls and ceilings, the dining kitchen creates a visual expansion.
