designer's own words:

The inspiration of Dun comes from Chinese craft stools that equipped traditional houses and gardens.
With the help of Chinese craftsmen ceramists, the design is modified, the material improved, the superior quality well preserved and the manufacturing process retained to obtain a contemporary and innovative stool: Dun.
Dun is an assembly of several pieces of ceramic. Dun is based on a paradox, on one hand: an invitation to manipulation, a stimulation to the game, on the second hand: a question on the delicacy and fineness of the material. The attractive design contrasts with the choice of the material that at the first glance may seem confusing. This apparent contradiction is resolved by relying on the traditional craftsman’s technique that guarantees strength and resistance. This material little-used by Westerners, is working both inside and outside the home.
Unquestionably we must trust the intelligent hand of craftsmen who perceived sensuality, charm but also the strength of the material that is ideally suited for a high value accessory for the home.
