designer's own words:

Senses are the physiological basis of our well-being. Talking about basics - everybody wants to taste delicious food, see beautiful things and listen to nice music. Going deeper into sense complexity all the people wish to feel love, feel safe… be happy. And what is happiness? Things that make one happy can make others suffer, things people want the most make them unhappy receiving too much. Like we all want winter at summer and complain when it comes. Nobody ever responded this question so far. It is too complex to give a definite answer in terms of a design research.
Approximating all the critical personal and philosophical angles it is easier to see what most people look for in the contrast between comfort and extreme, loud and calm, bitter and sweet… They look for balance. “Equilibrium is the key.”

We have expressed this into a design solution of a lounge chair.
It is a wooden frame supported by 10 pneumatic jacks attached to it by ball joints, as well as connected the same way to a geometrical welded metal basis. All together they recreate an effect of a double hexapod platform, giving 6 degrees of freedom to move. It gives a possibility to get numerous balanced positions –personally unique and comfortable.
Wooden frame is to be made of glue laminated timber or layered plywood. Sitting “bowl” is made of plywood (that can be additionally coated in leather or textile). Cut on a CNC machine and steam shaped. Alternative material is a cast plastic. Rigidity of materials is softly absorbed by prestressed pneumatic jacks with bright colored inner cores, expressing an individual spatial drawing of a person which uses the furniture according to his or her daily needs, achieving equilibrium.
