FLOATING KITCHEN
FLOATING KITCHEN explores the ways of the existence of the future kitchen. Instead of always locating on the floor and against the wall, FLOATING KITCHEN hangs the whole kitchen wares on the roof.
When cooking and dining times come, FLOATING KITCHEN can be dropped down into the right height, turning the room into an open, fully functional kitchen.
After dinning, FLOATING KITCHEN can be lifted up, leaving the space below for whatever usage. The bottom of the kitchen wares turns in to a set of lighting.
This proposal explores the concept of FLOATING KITCHEN into details by focusing on three major kitchen wares: cooking/dinning table, washbasin and storage. More kitchen facilities could be added based on the same principle.
FLOATING KITCHEN literally eliminates the area of the kitchen in a house. The kitchen becomes a matter of time. It can appear or disappear whenever the family wants. In so doing, it offers more flexibility to modern urban living.
