Flowers from Space is a series of artwork exploring the possibility to use buildings to form flower-like-shapes.
Flowers from Space also know as "Space Flowers" is an are my artistic experiment and take on mutation of buildings. The idea came from the Japanese when they face real life mutation after the atomic bomb. The artist in general think very differently from other artist due to the traumatic experiences. I borrow the idea to my art making- mutation of a none living things.
Each work consist of photos of buildings from Singapore cropped out and put together to form flower-like-shapes.
Space flowers comes from a galaxy far far away. It changes colours from time to time and it changes positioning of it petals as well. It has life of its own. Many are mesmerise by its beauty and the details.
Construction Flower are made up all of construction buildings to form flowers-like-shape. It signify a new beginning and something to look forward to.
Luxury flowers are constructed out of luxury buildings found in Singapore. It is dazzled with gold and sliver and everything that shines.
Hope Flower is made up of religious buildings. It signify a renewal of hope every morning.
