designer's own words:

The door to paradise is the place where we pass from the material to immaterial . With this in mind I thought how can I convey this idea of “immaterial” – Light .
The door panels are double glazed sand blasted glass with a light transmitting film sandwiched between them. The light is produced by strips of LEDs inside the structure playing with the outline of the door. Ther door frame and handles are oversized once again to play with this idea of the immaterial nature of the illuminated glass panel.
By using LEDs we can also play with colour allowing the door to seamlessly flow from one colour to another or to match the décor of the room.Another possibility is to use the door as a gigantic” light box” to display slides , acetates or other transparent materials or simply to illuminate a room or corridor or as a night light for a childs bedroom, the possibilities are endless!
