designer's own words:

Material used: Thermochromic pigments applied on ceramic

Description: thermochromic materials change colour at specific temperatures.

Application: for example white thermochromic pigment is applied to an orange surface, the surfaces turns from white to orange at the change-over temperature. When the temperature falls the pigment colouring re-appears.
Colour appears and disappears surprisingly in this white canvas as consequence of heat, time, form, movement and textures.

Food print is conceived as a surprising event. Eating will be taken place in a creative and artistic canvas that will make every meal unique.

We believe that this table set should provide people with an interaction tool used in the creation of food, not only in its presentation but on its cooking techniques, the way people eat and the print that a social event like this leaves on it as a trace on time.
